The Denver Broncos after looking completely lost in Super Bowl XLVIII will host the Indianapolis Colts as they look for redemption. Wes Welker’s suspension will hurt the team but not as much as one might think remember Welker was out for a couple of games last season with a concussion. Other than Emmanuel Sanders who has replaced Eric Decker now with the Jets, all of Peyton Manning’s receiving are targets from a year ago are back. The Broncos have upgraded  their defense with the additions of DeMarcus Ware and Aqib Talib.

The Indianapolis Colts who seem to be a lock to repeat as AFC South division champs have Reggie Wayne back from injury, and they have added Hakim Nicks as a strong number two receiver alongside Wayne. With that said Hicks did not have a receiving touchdown last season, if that streak continues Hicks could become a liability as he becomes an ineffective number two. If that happens look for T.Y. Hilton to resume his place as the number two target for Andrew Luck. The Colts had a key pre-season injury to their starting center Khalid Holmes who is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game. With a pass rusher like DeMarcus Ware who can line up anywhere on the field look for the Broncos to try and exploit the backup center Jonotthan Harrison.

The Key Matchup in this game is going to be the Colts offensive line versus the Broncos front seven last season the Broncos averaged 2.6 sacks a game with DeMarcus Ware now a part of the Broncos front seven and a backup center most likely anchoring the Colts offensive line, look for the revamped Broncos to overwhelm an offensive line that averaged 2 sacks a game last season.

Final Score: Denver Broncos 31 Indianapolis Colts 14
